Intermittent break is all good! We went to Cameron Highlands this time to enjoy the cool weather and the refreshing greens. Who was in the crowd? My uncle and his clan, Adik and her boys, Ain my sis-in-law and myself.
There's loads to do up there but I enjoyed eating homemade English scones the most. The scones are nothing like you can find here in KL. The sweet corn (with white and yellow kernels) is superb, sweet and crunchy. Mind you it's best to eat it there bcoz it won't taste the same once you take it home. Oh don't let me start on the succulent red strawberries! Ummmph... I even brought along fresh whipped cream to swamp the fresh strawberries.... drools :P I usually let loose and succumb to temptation whenever I'm on holiday.... that's why they call it HOLIDAY BINGE and it's ALLOWED! :-D
Once we got there, we dashed off to the market and bought lots and lots of veges, corns and strawberries. Guess what we had for dinner? Self-cooked vegetarian dishes, fresh from the market... very healthy... :-> The next day, we went around sight-seeing and visited the tea plantation... Before we left, we had scones at the Old Smokehouse... this one is highly recommended.. not only for its exceptional English scones served with homemade jam and clotted cream but also for its authentic colonial-design house... It's a true English experience... lovely! well, enough said already...
